Posture Podiatry Says Thank You!
As the last of the autumn leaves fall, Posture Podiatry owners Tom, Trent, Gavin & Janine would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your support over the last 12 months.
It’s Our First Anniversary…
It’s already been a year since Daniel Gibbs first introduced Tom Kolesnik and Gavin Daly as new clinic owners and what a ride it’s been. When we first acquired ownership of the clinic in winter 2019, we knew we had a good team but it’s always a little nerve-racking when you take over an established clinic with an excellent reputation.
Daniel and his team had built Posture Podiatry over 10 years which was renowned for excellence in both podiatry care and client service. We knew we had some big shoes to fill!
Fortunately, Tom, Janine and Gavin had worked together many years earlier at Podiatry Care so we knew most of our strengths and weaknesses and we felt we could collaboratively take on the challenge of continuing what Daniel had started. We’ve also been fortunate to have the help of Trent (company Accountant/Director) to help us navigate the numerous business and accounting challenges that most businesses must deal with these days.
Some newer faces at Posture Podiatry…
Things began to get a little busier than expected near the end of 2019 so that’s when we were fortunate enough to secure the services and expertise of podiatrist, Tess Carey. Janine Daly later joined us in January 2020 to assist Tom and Gavin with practice management and administrative duties after many years as practice manager with both Podiatry Care and My FootDr clinics.
All things were progressing well and then along came the challenges of COVID-19. Many may remember Australia’s recession in the early 90’s and we had seen first hand the challenges presented by the GFC in 2007/2008 but nothing quite prepared us for what we would encounter during the COVID-19 pandemic. When Daniel handed over the baton, we knew we were in for a challenge but we never expected a pandemic.
Nevertheless, small business has a habit of throwing unforeseen challenges at owners so it was time to make some tough decisions to ensure our survival through this challenging period.
Thankfully, Your Support Was There
Fortunately, the support of our clients, referrers and small business support by federal and state governments has helped to ensure all staff remain employed during these challenging times. Life has changed for all of us but our nation (and South Australians especially) have been very decisive in taking action to prevent the spread. We can now see some real light at the end of the tunnel.
When we accepted ownership of Posture Podiatry 12 months ago, we never predicted the challenges ahead but, we are truly grateful. We’re grateful we live in one of the best countries on the planet and we are truly thankful for all the support our clients and referrers have shown us.
Our Path Moving Forward…
We will continue to do everything possible to maintain the highest possible standard of care. The trust and confidence you place in us and our services will never be taken for granted.
We will continue to do our best to ensure our services improve the lives of all our clients, their families and friends at every possible opportunity.
We will celebrate our small successes but never rest on our laurels.
We want to be sure your feet, your legs, your good health and your mobility lasts you a lifetime. We’re here to help you live the best life you can.
Once again… A BIG THANK YOU for all your support during our first 12 months of clinic ownership.
