STEP 1
Call Posture Podiatry or BOOK ONLINE and request:
A standard appointment to review your:
- Current orthotic prescription;
- Biomechanical examination measurements; and
- Current scans of both feet
- Eligibility for Low Gap or No Gap* orthotics.
*Please note: In order to reduce the gap payment, you will need private health insurance that covers you for Podiatry and Orthotic Therapy.

STEP 2
During your consultation you will receive an updated Gait Analysis, Biomechanical Examination & 3D Foot Scans.
Our qualified, experienced podiatrists will assess you and take some specific foot and leg measurements and 3D foot scans of your feet following your biomechanical examination and gait analysis. This step is essential if your biomechanical measurements, scans and orthotics are more than 6 months old to ensure your prescription is still accurate.
You simply pay for the gap (if any) on the consultation. In addition to the consultation, you’ll receive a detailed biomechanical assessment, 3D foot scans and gait analysis all Gap FREE.

Share on XIf your orthotic prescription is less than 6 months old you may be able to order a second pair of orthotics without this consultation. Give us a call on 83625900 or contact us via our contact page and we can confirm the date of your last orthotic prescription.
STEP 3
Your custom made 3D Laser Orthotic Prescription is completed
Your podiatrist will fill in your custom orthotic prescription order form and forward this on to our 3D Laser Orthotic Laboratory along with your 3D laser foot scans.
STEP 4
Orthotics are fitted to your shoes with specific instructions
Your custom orthotics will be fitted to your shoes within 10 to 14 days following your personalised orthotic prescription order.
Please Note:
Most health funds require membership for at least 12 months before claiming for orthotics. Each health fund is different so we strongly encourage you to call your health fund to check your level of cover, and ensure you are covered for Podiatry and Orthoses. Following your review and assessment update, our podiatrist will determine exactly what is needed in your orthotic prescription. This will help you to confirm your eligibility with your health fund.

Here’s the fine print in bold letters. In order to qualify for Low Gap or Gap Free* orthotics, you will need:
- Private health insurance that covers you for Podiatry and Orthotic Therapy.
- A minimum rebate from your health insurance fund is required depending on the type of custom orthotic you need. All details on minimum charges can be quoted following your appointment to review your orthotic prescription requirements.
- There is NO OBLIGATION to proceed following your appointment.
